Public Service performed by Lockhart Lodge #690 and by individual members.
Lockhart
Lodge #690, AF&AM is an integral part of this community, and has
incorporated in its Bylaws a requirement to perform Charitable work and
public service. This Lodge and its members have supported and
continue to support such great Masonic Charities, such as the Texas
Scottish Rite Hospital for children; providing Dsylexia testing.
Orthopedic Children's Hospital treats children with crippling
conditions, Neurological & Learning Disabilities, and also treats children
with speech disabilities.
The Shrine operates 22
Crippled Children's Hospitals through the United States. It
also operates three Burn Institute Hospitals for children.
All the above services are provided at no cost to the patient or patient's parents.
